La Paloma, Sai Ying Pun

Aug 22, 2018

Hi all,

After attending a Spanish wedding, what is better than talking about Spanish food? We are lucky enough to have all types of cuisine in Hong Kong and very good restaurants to showcase them. Today, I will talk about my favourite Spanish restaurant: La Paloma!

A good adjective to describe this place is “festive.” With its small multicoloured suspended lights everywhere, you are directly thrown into the country of Flamenco and Sangria. Green, red, yellow, all the decoration revolves around bright and happy colours, and so becomes your spirit!

Patatas bravas with delightful sauce, small hamburgers, ham, fish tartar, tomato bread, cheese…. Your brunch starts with a selection of typical tapas to share. Following this, you can enjoy two all-you-can-eat dishes: crispy suckling pig and paella “mixta”. All this for HK$208 or HK$28 with the free flow option (without service charge). For dessert – if you have room for any – nice churros are served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce… My small #treat of this day: a glass of white Sangria…. Just very sweet, as I like it!

Not only a restaurant, La Paloma is a great bar in Sai Ying Pun if you want to try something else than the usual High Street suspects. They even have a special happy hour deal at HK$45/drink. So, don’t hesitate and try it soon!
