March 2018: Casual Winter

Casual Winter Outfit

Hi everyone! The sun starts to really be present in our beloved city of Hong Kong and so it can be tricky to know how to dress. I recently bought two new items that I wanted to show you. They can be perfect for the end of Hong Kong winter/early spring. I took the occasion of visiting the emblematic Kowloon Walled City Park to take photos of this casual winter outfit.

Kowloon Walled City Park

First of all, you must know what this park is. As a reminder, it was a densely populated settlement in Kowloon City back in the early 20th Century known to be the location of drug abuse, triad gangs, and other crimes. The government decided to demolish the Walled City and built a park in 1995. This is now a great testament to the former anarchist and densely packed city.

Perfecto Suede Jacket

For this walk, I decided to put some light black t-shirt and black trousers to match my new khaki jacket I bought in a small Korean shop in Wan Chai. I really like its ‘perfecto’ shape and the fabric which is like a suede jacket. It was perfect for the weather we had: not to light and not to warm. Also, you can trade your t-shirt with a turtleneck sweat that fits nicely with this kind of jacket.

Heeled Black Boots

Second new item: my new heeled black boots, also suede shoes. I fell in love with the heels which are not too high or too narrow. I can literally wear them all day long without thinking of them. They have a square shape which I didn’t like at first glance. And then, wearing them, I realised it gave a more #casual touch to them.

Effortless Accessories

Don’t forget to wear accessories to complete your outfit. I chose thin and gold necklaces and a leather tote bag (already mentioned in this article). However, pay attention to not wear too many things as heeled boots are already something important in the whole outfit, so you don’t want to be #toomuch. And if you liked this look, take a moment to shop similar clothes listed below.
